Vince stood sternly looking at his watch. She hated being late and she had somehow lost track of time and she was now late for training with Vince. Annabel raced up the hill to the location they were going to meet. As she neared Vince she noticed his irritated demeanor. It seemed she could do very little to please the good deputy Vince.

He pointed to his watch as Annabel nodded. At least, he didn't launch into a long lecture like a parent. He removed his shirt, and then he tossed it on to a tree branch. Annabel was impressed with Vince’s very muscular physique.

“I am not going to remove my shirt.” Annabel joked. Vince raised his brow, and then he laughed.

“Come on.” He replied as he motioned for her to come over to him. “Let's get started.” He ordered as she walked over to him. “I am going to train you to fight with your hands, feet, and other parts of your body. Your entire body will become a weapon, once I’m finished,” Vince instructed as he suddenly grabbed Annabel's hands, and then he held them up in the air. “You will not always be able to use your powers so you must learn how to defend yourself.” He released Annabel's hands, and then he kicked the inside of her right feet. “Open your stance.” He gruffly said as she moved her feet apart. “Good. Now I want you to use your small size to your advantage.” Vince instructed. Annabel squinted her eyes at his comment about her height.

Suddenly Vince threw a slowed-down, but still fast-enough-to-hurt left hook right at Annabel's face. She dodged the hook and he let out an “oomph” when failed to connect.

“Good! You have quick reflexes, which will be useful.” He gasped with a half-smile on his face as though he was both surprised and impressed. She wondered if that meant he had planned to actually hit her. Then he took her hand and he placed it on his left forearm. “This time when I swing, I want you to grab my arm, like this.” He clinched her hand tighter around his arm. “Then turn your body…” He moved her hips and helped her maneuver around his body. “…and pull me over your shoulders. Let my weight do all the work.” Vince motioned as Annabel nodded.

He threw a second left hook faster this time. Annabel quickly dodged the hook, grabbed his arm, turned her body as he had shown her, and then in one quick seamless motion she pulled his large muscular body over her head sending him on to his back.

Vince stood up unfazed, and then he quickly threw a right hook, which Annabel dodged. He immediately, followed up a left upper cut. He landed his second mighty blow sending Annabel flying backward, and landing onto her butt.

Annabel quickly recovered, “yeah I guess he did mean to hit me,” she thought and then she stood up angry. She closed her eyes, and then she sent Vince flying into the trees with her mind. Vince hit a tree trunk and several branches before landing on his side on the ground. He moaned then stood up stunned.

“What the hell was that? I said no powers.” He shook his head in anger.

“Well, what the hell were you doing? You hit my face so I just reacted.” She yelled back at him matching his gruff tone.

“That was great.” Cameron yelled as he clapped loudly while he approached them. “Nice work Annabel. Walk it off Vince, you'll be fine.” Cameron grinned. Annabel hide her amusement.

“Mind your business, Cameron. You train her your way and I will train her my way.” Vince snapped.

“I was just impressed that she took you down, that's all. No hard feelings?” Cameron begged.

Vince took a breath and gathered himself. “Yeah, man. No hard feelings.” He nodded, and then he smiled at Cameron. “She is going to need all the help she can get if she is to stand a chance in the tournament.”

“Tournament?” She said puzzled. “What tournament?”

“She will be just fine by then. She has a whole month to train before the tournament.” Cameron replied.

“Hello, what tournament?” Annabel exclaimed as she held her hand up in the air like an eager student in school waiting on the teacher to call on her.

“The tournament is where all the guardians compete against one another to see who the best is. It’s an annual event just for fun. You don't have to do it if you don't want.” Cameron replied.

“This guy has won for the last five years.” Vince pointed to Cameron.

“Really?” Annabel was impressed. Cameron nodded. “So you can beat everyone here?” Annabel pressed. Cameron smiled as he said nothing.

“There you are.” Kim walked directly towards Annabel. “I have been looking everywhere for you. Hey guys, I know she was supposed to train today and all.” Kim gently took Annabel's hand as she pulled her close, and then Kim started leading Annabel away. “But Patrick gave strict orders for her to rest.” She continued to lead Annabel further away. “So that is just what she is going to do, is rest… later guys.” Kim waved with her back turned.

Annabel waved silently, and then she let Kim drag her away. Vince and Cameron stood both with nothing to say.

My Vampire's Passion Moves Me

In the beginning there was her and her name is Corrin Cross, Mistress of the Darkness and Head of the Cross House.

Landry’s thirst for blood had increased and so had his sexual desires. So Corrin had him brought two young and beautiful ladies, both would serve as food and pleasure. Corrin had explained to him that his desires would change as he had changed from a simple fisherman into a blood crazed devil of the night. His days had become a prison, locked away from the sun’s rays, and his night’s a battlefield on which he was a hunter and everyone else was now his food and enemy. Corrin was his teacher and savior, she was all he had now and she kept him very close to her. She favored him over her more than two dozen loyal family members, all of them chosen by her over the centuries; some of the most beautiful, and all of them special or unique in some way or another. She was particular about her family and who could bare the Cross name.

He didn’t understand why she liked to watch as he made love to the women she had brought to him gathered nightly. She seemed to enjoy the sex more than he did, not that it wasn’t pleasing to him it was. However, it was more of a cession to the hunger for blood for him. Stroking a beautiful breast with his tongue kept his mind off of ripping off her pretty head.

Hearing her sounds of pleasure calmed him down and made the pain of the unsatisfied hunger quiet for a moment. There was another lovely bare naked lady in bed for him to move to once he could no longer drink for fear of killing the innocent. He had learned to not kill as taught by Corrin, all of them willing ladies begging to be devoured by the gorgeous Landry. He loved to drink from their inner thigh after pleasuring them.

There were many willing young and beautiful gentlemen and ladies that came to them in every town, province, and country that the Cross family travelled. All the blood and sex could not fill the desire for love that he held on to even after his death, the wanting, the hoping, the complete desperation for love held on to him somehow, and so he was always unsatisfied.

Maya was careful not to enter Landry’s apartment until the sun had set completely so not to wake him. He awakened from his dream from the past as he sensed her. She entered the room and he moved to greet her, which startled her. She wasn’t used to his speed yet and so she flinched a little which made him smile as he wrapped his arms around her. She sighed loudly without thinking, and he laughed. She smiled and sighed again hoping that he’d never let her go and this moment could last longer.

“What did you do while I was sleeping, beautiful?”

“I watched the ducks at the park with Duncan in the morning. Then I read a little while Duncan ate so nothing special.”

“I missed you. You should have stayed with me; I wanted your gorgeous body next to me all day. Plus, that way I would have easier access to you upon rising.”

He laughed as he kissed her neck while he turned her around to face him.

“I didn’t want to smother you and Duncan would have flipped if I didn’t come home without a word.”

She closed her eyes as he continued to kiss his way up her neck. She could feel every single moist touch of his lips on her. Never before had she felt such sensations, the likes of which songs were surely written. Just the simple feel of his fingertips running down her bare arm made her feel alive and warm again.

He loved how she lit up as he touched her, she seemed to beam with more goodness then any live person Landry had ever seen before and that made him question how it was that she was a ghost. This girl, who was in his arms, smiling, laughing, and beaming from the inside out, he knew he was in love with her. He probably had been since the first moment he saw her in the abandoned industrial park, where he tried to ignore her. Where he tried to escape her and the complications that knowing her can only bring.

Maya had forgotten how much she enjoyed kissing. She loved being that close to his amazing eyes they grabbed a hold of her locking her into an endless gaze at times. She could see herself swimming in those indigo eyes, like a dolphin in the mighty ocean.

Landry gently nibbled on her bottom lip and she moaned softly. Normally, the biting would cause him to become hungry for blood but with her there was no blood. No blood, no hunger for feeding from her. However, he was going to need to feed and he knew she would need to as well. But he wanted to please her and her other senses first. He blew slowly on her ear and around it and then he licked the rim of her earlobe and then he blew on her ear again which tickled her causing her to giggle.

She squeezed her arms around him tighter while pressing her nails into his back pinching him. She immediately apologized to which he laughed then told her to scratch him harder. She smiled as she dug her nails into him. He moaned as he lifted her up into his arms and then he braced her body up against the wall. He peeled off her top and her pants as she removed his clothes following his lead.

His hands were so big and strong and he used them with such purpose as she noticed while he removed her panties and quickly cupped her ass cheeks in the palms of his big hands.

He moved her hips up to him and saddled her around his hips. She wrapped herself around him by her legs, locking them into place with her knees. He moved her upward and then back down easing himself deeply inside of her. She moaned uncontrollably as her head flopped backward. He held her ass firmly as he rocked her hips up and then back down onto him, each time brought even more pleasure to him.

Everything seemed to work and feel just as it had when she was a living girl. The sex was just as fulfilling as it was before. There was, however, a felling there that wasn’t there before. She wasn’t going to think about it right now, not now that she was so close to exploding. He had her right on the edge and she could no longer hold back, and he certainly wasn’t allowing that either as he quickened his thrushes and pushed her hips firmer onto him smiling with each push. She looked at him as she released and let go of herself.

“Ah…Holy shit…I’m so, so…Oh my!”

He laughed and then he kissed her.

“Ah oh…so you enjoyed yourself then I hope.”

She opened her eyes and grinned.

“Indeed, Landry, you’re amazing!”

She kissed him.

“Good! Now time to eat?”

He put her down as they both quickly dressed. He had to feed, it was his nature and he hadn’t eaten upon rising as he should have. He wasn’t concerned for himself though, only for her and how she was adjusting to her new feeding regimen. But he’d need to watch her feed to know that. So it was off back to the forest.

Caresses From My Vampire Lover

HOT excerpts from Endless Love Quenched, you'll need a towel

Landry conceded easily to end the fight and move the night forward to what he had planned for Maya. He had set up his apartment for them to surprise her. He had white roses with red tips everywhere, and several dozen burning candles. And in the center of the room was a bed with white satin sheets.

She was overwhelmed and she immediately picked up a rose and then by instinct she tried to smell it. For just a moment she swore she could actually smell the beautiful rose as she held it under her nose. Then the rose started to die turning black before crumbling in her hand. She had unintentionally drained the rose’s life source.

“Don’t worry Maya, there’s plenty more roses.”

He took her by the hand and then he kissed the palm of her hand and then he kissed her wrist. This drove her mad. She felt every kiss. The pressure of his lips sent shock waves up her arms.

“Thank you, Landry for doing all of this for me and for trying to make me feel special. I love it…I love all the ways you have treated me.”

He kissed her mouth slowly as he led her over to the bed.

“You deserve this and anything you want in the entire world, Maya and I intend to give it all to you. I would do anything for you, I love you, Maya. I have fallen, completely and utterly in love with you, Maya Nicholas.”

She sighed loudly as she smiled.

“I love you too Landry Summersbee with all my soul.”

He placed his hands on her lower back and then he swung her around. He laid her down on the bed on her back and then he yanked her pants and panties off.

“You’re beautiful.”

He dropped his pants and then he quickly mounted her as she moaned his name softly. They locked their hands together as they quicken their pace, their hips grinded and clapped together.

"Who was she kidding when Cameron smiled at her she'd forget her own name."

{Excerpts from Chapter 3}

Annabel stood at a large sink, arm deep in fish guts as she laughed at another one of Cameron's bad jokes, secretly hoping the time would go by slower even if the smell wasn’t pleasant.  Without her realizing it Cameron was quickly becoming her new favorite thing.

“Okay…I think I’ve hijacked this conversion long enough, it’s your turn Annabel…”

“Oh no, my jokes are terrible, trust me…” She grinned at him while shaking her head.

“No…not jokes necessarily. I want to know about you, tell me about yourself.” He looked her up and down again while smiling.

“Huh…well I don’t know where to begin.” She said as she looked him up and down.

“Where did you used to work before now?” He pressed as he then winked at her. She smiled big.

“Well… my first job, I worked at a small video store starting when I was sixteen. After I graduated from high school, I moved in with Kim, and then I took on another job at a local diner.” And with that, she launched into long story without thinking about it. Normally Annabel was guarded with her words but she continued as though he was her longtime friend or something. He seemed to hang onto every word with his fixed stare and great smile. “… anyway, I would have quit the video store job earlier if I knew it would make me feel so good leaving.”

“How is that?” Cameron cocked his head in interest.

“Seeing the look on my disgusting and lazy mangers face as I told him, --“You need to get off your butt and stop watching videos because I quit!” was priceless.” She chuckled a little. He joined her and nodded.

Annabel continued, “I didn’t mind the diner though, the people were friendly and the tips weren't bad either.”

“Okay…nice so you’ve got moxie then, I like that.” He nodded with an adorable and approving grin. “Where did you grow up?”

“Actually, I grew up in Silver City, with my adoptive parents and my younger sister,” she replied. She noticed he seemed to be quite surprised, but she continued, “my parents were very nice and they had seen to my every need. My parents were unable to conceive naturally and so when they spotted me as a little baby in an orphanage just outside of Silver City, they scooped me up and brought me home immediately…” She stopped as she then noticed his demeanor had changed.

“Sorry. Go on…you’re fascinating.” He nodded his head.

“Ok. Well, I have always felt a deep need to make my parents happy as a way of showing my gratitude. However, after failing to attend college or find a suitable career, I am certain that seemed to be a failure in my parent’s eyes. My sister Darby is the perfect child which put even more pressure on me.” She looked down at the counter as she continued. “They brought Darby home from Paris when I was nine and I fell immediately in love with my baby sis. I thought Darby was such a beautiful baby and I was afraid to hold her in fear I would break her.” She chuckled and he joined her. “Darby and I are so different in many ways.”

“How?” He asked.

“Darby is fair skinned, very tall, slender, and a complete perfectionist. Darby never failed to impress our parents with her countless awards and perfect grades. Then there’s me, exotic looking, very petite, curvy and I had scrapped by in school barely managing to graduate. Darby had a legion of teen boys practically lined up at outside the door every time I go home to visit. I didn’t even date in high school and I could count on one hand the number of men I have dated since…” She stopped as she realized she had said all of that out loud as if she was in a therapy session with him.

“I am having a hard time believing that you weren’t the one boys were lining up for…I certainly would have.” He raised his brow and grinned, and she heard him, but somehow the words didn’t quite sink in. “Go on…please continue. Tell me, how did you and Kim meet?”

“Ever since I first saved Kim from a group of bullies, the two of us have had each other’s backs. Kim had a back-brace when she was five and the kids had found it quite amusing to push her around to watch her fall on the playground. I had just started at the school when I noticed the group of relentless, tormenters circling little Kim. I walked over and without a word I balled up my little fist and sent it blasting into the biggest boys' face.” Cameron’s eyes widened. “Down the boy went and he started to cry. The other kids yelled and ran. I bent down next to Kim and Kim stopped crying and I wiped her eyes. I smiled at her and we hugged. From that moment we had a strong bond. … And that’s why I was so willing to move away with Kim now.” She paused a moment, then said, “Plus, I had wanted a break from the ordinary and cruel world; so hiding in these mountains with my best friend seemed perfect.” She didn’t know what exactly to say, but she felt like she had to continue talking and sure enough, the words fell from her loose mouth. “Kim has a bad habit of falling in love with every guy, it seems to me and that's how Kim ended up taking this job as a ranger to begin with.” She briefly looked at him then back at the counter. “Kim was just trying to impress some hot tree-huger when she answered the email about this job some months ago. Since then Kim had moved on from that guy and so when it was time to start packing Kim convinced me to come with her. To me Kim is me family; at least my chosen family. I don’t know who my biological parents are or why they didn't want me.”

“Stop right there…you don’t know they didn’t want you.” Cameron shook his head. “Maybe they couldn’t take care of you.”

She smiled at his attempt to comfort her but in her head her mind raced through thoughts, like how she had tried for years to pretend that not having answers about her birth or where she came from didn't bother her. But here in middle of nowhere with Cameron, in that kitchen, her thoughts could not be drowned out and she hoped that her face didn’t show her sorrow.

“Okay, no more questions, I promise. And, I think we have enough fish here to feed the hungry guardians for at least a few days.” Cameron explained as he pulled his hands up out of the sink, and then reached for the sink faucet. He quickly recoiled upon the sight of his fish gut-covered hands. “Yuck, I better not touch anything with these hands.”

Suddenly the faucet started to turn by itself and the water shot out into the sink. Annabel looked at Cameron amazed that he seemed to turn the water on without having touched the faucet. Cameron proudly smiled as he quickly washed his hands.
“That was amazing! How did you do that? Are you a warlock too, like Patrick?” Annabel shouted as she washed her hands with him.
“Oh, no I'm not a warlock like Patrick or a wizard.” He said as he winked at her and continued. “I'm something different; the truth is that they really don't know what I am exactly.” Cameron replied as he finished washing his hands. Then he turned to dry his hands while Annabel continued washing her hands. “I'm a human being and I have some sort of telekinesis, I guess.”
“I can make things happen with my mind like turning on the water or knocking out goblins without any physical contact.”
“Wow! Have you always been able to do that, make anything you think about happen?” Annabel urged as she finished washing her hands, and then she grabbed part of the towel that he was using to dry her hands as well.
“No, I haven't always been able to do these things.” Cameron looked agitated as he walked back to the prep counter, and then he started to clean off the fish remains. “I discovered my powers over five years ago, during a battle.” He somberly replied as he continued to clean. “Steve, he is…was my adopted father.” Cameron cleared his throat as he struggled to reply, her eyes widened as she watched him. “Steve was pinned down by an attacker… As I watched him mercilessly cut down; that was the first time it happened. It was like a tingly, wave of warm energy that shot out of my body. I knocked the attacker down just by thinking it… but it was too late!” He shook his head as he continued, “Steve, died later that day from his injuries.” He sighed as he tossed the wash rag he was using into the sink next to her.
“I am so sorry.” Annabel gently replied as she silently empathized with Cameron. “I do not know what I would do if anything happened to my adoptive parents.” Annabel somberly added.
“I can’t believe we were both adopted.” Cameron's eyes lit up as he walked over to Annabel.
“I know this is crazy...” She half smiled while she wondered if that was why she felt so at ease with him so quickly.
Suddenly they heard the door to the bar open and voices. “Looks, like we finished just in time the lunch crowd is starting to pile in it sounds like.”
A tall, thin man entered the kitchen. “Hello, Cameron. Sorry I'm late.” The man announced as he quickly washed his hands.
“Hello, Paul. Annabel this is Paul, he's our cook. Paul this is Annabel she's going to be staying with us in Woodsgate for a while.” Paul turned, nodded and smiled as Cameron made introductions.
“Hi Paul nice to meet you.” Annabel replied.
“We should get out front. Since you have served tables before you will be a natural.” Cameron said as he put his arm around her shoulder, and then he led her behind the bar.
“Yes. I have served tables but I'm afraid I haven’t served werewolves before.” Annabel replied as she scanned the bar which was now full. Loud men and a few women crowded most of the tables and booths. “I take it they aren't really lumberjacks by day right?” She joked with him about his comment he made the day before.
“Nope…most of them are werewolves but some of them used to be Lumberjacks.” Cameron replied as he quickly started pouring drinks for the people sitting at the bar in front of them. “Hurry, take this, go over there, and start taking orders.” Cameron said as he handed Annabel a paper tablet and pencil. Then he pointed over to the tables of hungry customers in the corner. “Table one is over there, good luck!” He smiled.
